AFF WOMEN’S: Souchitta Double Saves Laos the Blushes
YANGON (12 Sept 2013) – There is no shame in defeat for the Indonesian women’s football team. In spite of the 2-1 loss they conceded in the second match day in Group B of the AFF Aya Bank Women’s Championship 2013, the Indonesian girls certainly showed that they have a lot of spunk. The defeat was Indonesia’s second in as many matches and will certainly spell their exit from the competition even though they still have matches against Myanmar and then Japan.
“We were told that we will be taking part in this competition just a few days before our departure to Yangon,” said Abdul Sadat (left in lower pix), the team manager of Indonesia. “As you know, we are actually a Futsal team but in spite of the difficulties, I thought that we played quite well. The only thing is that my players can’t last the full 90 minutes but they gave their best and that was important.”
