ASEAN girls vie for last regional title

Ho Chi Minh:Six ASEAN nations will commence their campaign for the last title in the AFC U-14 Girls’ Regional Championship on Tuesday in Vietnam.
The six nations are hosts Vietnam, Cambodia, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines and Thailand.
The six nations are vying for the fourth and last regional title of the inaugural girls’ championship following India who clinched the trophy for the South and Central region during their competition in March. The West region champions were Jordan in April while the East title went to China early June.
As per the match schedule, the first match will kick off at 1500hrs local time between Malaysia and Vietnam, followed by a tie between Myanmar and Thailand before the meet between Cambodia and the Philippines concludes the opening day’s action.
The ASEAN meeting held at the Thong Nhat Stadium will run until June 23.

PHNOM PENH (18 June 2013) –The Football Federation of Cambodia (FFC) inaugurated the National Football Center and National Football Academy in Bati this morning.
The event was attended by Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen, His Excellency Sheikh Salman Bin Ebrahim Al Khalifa, the president of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) and also His Royal Highness Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah, the president of the ASEAN Football Federation (AFF) as well as members of the Cambodian Senate and Parliament.
His Excellency Sao Sokha, the president of the FFC, said in his speech that that the new centre is a strategic infrastructure for centralizing grassroots and youth players.
China has not decided to hire a new coach yet
