Thailand To Take on Malaysia in Chiangmai

CHIANGMAI (22 Oct 2012) – Three-times ASEAN champions Thailand have confirmed a match against defending AFF Suzuki Cup champions Malaysia on 7 November at the 700th Sports Anniversary Stadium.
Both Thailand and Malaysia are moving into their final phase of preparation for the AFF Suzuki Cup 2012 where incidentally, they will be hosting Group A and Group B respectively.
“Yes, we have confirmed the game against Malaysia,” said Ong Arj Kosinkar, the general secretary of the FA of Thailand (FAT). “Thailand will be based in Chaingmai in preparation for the AFF Suzuki Cup and playing against Malaysia will be a good opportunity.”
Thailand have identified Chiangmai as their base as they look to win their fourth ASEAN crown. They will open their campaign against the Philippines on 24 November at the Rajamangala Stadium in Bangkok.
