The Malayan Tigers will be the first team to test the Philippines form after their heroics in the AFC Challenge Cup, where they reached the third place for the first time in history.
"Malaysia has invited us to play a friendly in Kuala Lumpur on June 1 and more or less, we’ll go there,” PFF chairman Mariano 'Nonong' Araneta told the Philstar on Thursday.
“I’ve had initial talks with (team manager) Dan (Palami) and he’s okay with this.”
Araneta also revelead they sent invitations to Thailand and Indonesia in order to arrange other friendlies in the Philippines on June 5 and 12, with the hope of playing one match in Bacolod City's Panaad Stadium, which will be under PFF officials' assessments after AFC's claim to verify its capability.
“I’ll be talking further to officials of Indonesia and Thailand when they go here for the AFC Council meeting on April 21 and 22,” he said.
“We might hold the June 5 match to Bacolod. We’ll send people to make an assessment and we’ll also require numbered seats.”
