Laos Hold Harimau Muda in Late Fight Back

Laos Hold Harimau Muda in Late Fight Back
VIENTIANE (28 Feb 2013) – Two goals in the last five minutes gave Laos a hard-earned 3-3 draw against Harimau Muda in a friendly that was played last night at the National Stadium.
Following a scoreless first half, Harimau Muda – which is the Malaysian Under-23 team – fell behind in the 50th minute when Khamleo Singkeo blasted in the lead for the home team.
But the Malaysians fought back to take a 3-1 lead off goals from A Thamil Arasu in the 56thminute, Rozaimi Abdul Rahman in the 61st and Muhammad Nurridzuan Abu Hassan in the 71st.
However, some loss in concentration towards the tail end of the tie saw Kanlaya Sysomvang scoring the second goal for Laos in the 87th minute as Viengsavanh Sayyaboun then fired in the equalising goal deep in injury time.
While Laos are using this match as their last friendly game ahead of their AFC Challenge Cup qualifiers on 2 March 2013, the Malaysians are using the game to polish up the squad for their title defence at the SEA Games 2013.
